This is battery operated and requires 3x AA batteries (not supplied) to illuminate and/or play music. 3 power settings; on 1 - sound and light / off / on 2- lights only. Plays the tune of Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Joy to the World and various other Christmas hits. Colour changing LEDs softly illuminate the globe in a variety of subtle colours.
