Box Hedging plants are evergreen giving you year-round colour and structure. Ideal for low hedges and topiary. Box is often used to frame a border or as a shapely structural element within the border. Such as in the form of box balls or pyramids. Box will grow up to 20 - 30cm per year so will quickly achieve the shape you are looking for- we recommend you trim once a year in the late Spring to keep the foliage dense - traditionally this is done on Derby Day! (first Saturday in June). This highly ornamental showy shrub will be a delightful addition to any garden. We recommend 5 plants per metre in a double zig-zag row for a thick hedge, but you can get away with 3-4 per metre in a staggered row if you don't mind waiting an extra year or two to form a thick hedge. Keep them well watered - especially in the Spring and Summer in the first year of planting.
