The English Yew hedging tree, Taxus Baccata, is a true British tradtional hedge plant, also known as the King of Hedges. A very popular choice for those wanting a classic elegant style hedge. Has dense dark green foliage which can be clipped into a beautiful tight cut formal hedge at any height, or left to grow free to admire their beauty. Perfect for all gardens, classic, country or urban. Easy to grow and maintain, will grow in most soil types in any position, slow to average growth rate, approx 30-40cm per year. We will deliver direct to you, a full pallet of 12 high quality, extra large, 12+ years old established rootball hedging trees which are approximately 7-8ft tall. The trees are not pre-dug and stored in bulk. Instead, they are freshly dug from the field when you place an order. The reason for fresh digging is to prevent damage and drying out. The trees will be delivered within 7-10 working days via a kerbside pallet delivery service, either to your home or a site you specify.

A rootball tree is a field-grown plant that has been cultivated for several years to develop into an extra-large, established bush or tree, perfect for those who want instant-effect gardening. Dug directly from the field with the roots and soil left perfectly intact, the "rootball" is then wrapped in a biodegradable hessian sack. Simply plant the tree with the sack left on the rootball and water regularly for the first year for a beautiful, instant hedge - a true investment for your garden. There is no strict rule for planting distances. However, we suggest planting 1 or 2 trees per meter for an instant-effect hedge. The closer you plant, the faster your hedge will establish - it's that simple. But if you don't mind waiting a little longer for them to grow together, planting them a bit further apart will work just fine.
