The need-to-know Fashion Week trends that are the talk of Debenhams HQ this week

New York Fashion Week hit the runway at full speed last week – and we’re still not over the looks that took the city (and our sight!) by storm. Hosting a rolodex of well-respected designers (including Coach, Marc Jacobs, and Calvin Klein, to name but a few), we’re just pleased we get to marvel at the visionary looks in motion, before they land in our wardrobes.

What are the leading looks on the way to revamp our autumn-winter style collections later this year, we hear you ask? We’ve rounded up the favourites we expect to see everywhere…

Hot to crop? Check. Jackets are set to draw the short straw this autumn-winter season, channelling a cool, contemporary edge as wardrobes welcome the transitional weather in layers that have been given the chop – brought to the runway by the likes of Coast, Marc Jacobs & Khaite.
Animal print is showing no sign of slowing in the trendsphere as we move through 2025. Spotted on the runway collections from Marc Jacobs, Khaite & Anna Sui, expect leopard, cow and snake print pieces to roar right into our wardrobes: from dresses and jackets to trainers and accessories.
Twist a little something extra into your style this season, as the runways make way for swooped ruche and irregular pleat detail. A/W is about to get all tangled up in gathered-effect garments, indicated by the elevated collections from Luar, Calvin Klein and Collina Strada, where traditional jersey basics are granted an interesting textural upgrade.
It’s time for your dress sense to get smart, sharp & to the point. Masculine style is making a comeback in womenswear, with designers presenting power-centric collections at New York Fashion Week. The cooler seasons will see wearers seize complete control of their look, as strict tailoring and razor-cut silhouettes rise to the top of the style hotlist.
